APPLY FOR GRANTS FUNDING LOCAL COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORTSThe Morgan Hill Community Foundation (MHCF) is continuing to accept applications for grants in support of local COVID-19 related relief efforts. New grant applications received will be reviewed January 7 for awards expected to be issued in the second week of January.
MHCF’s COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program is an ongoing fundraising and grants program, with no firm deadline for submitting grant applications. Grant applications are periodically reviewed by our community advisory committee as funds become available. To date, the fund has granted out over $48,000 to local nonprofit organizations with amounts ranging from $2,000 up to $8,000 per grant.

This annual event provides recognition to individuals who have been nominated by their non-profit organization for impact to people and non-profits in our local community. Philanthropy Night is geared towards recognizing the good work of local volunteers and philanthropists who embody the “Give Where You Live” spirit. MHCF plans to continue this important tradition and will conduct a virtual event in 2020. SCU Lightning Complex Fire Declared Emergency under MHCF Disaster Relief FundEffective August 25 the Morgan Hill Community Foundation (MHCF) has identified the SCU Lightning Complex Fire as an Emergency under the MHCF’s Disaster Relief Fund. Concerned citizens can go to https://www.morganhillcf.org/donate-to-the-disaster-relief-fund.html to donate to the Disaster Relief Fund. All donations made to the MHCF Disaster Relief Fund will be used to directly support nonprofit organizations in the greater Morgan Hill area. Local nonprofits who are either mobilizing their efforts in support of the SCU Lighting Complex Fire or continuing their efforts in support of COVID-19 are encouraged to apply for a MHCF Disaster Relief Grant . Congratulations to All of the AwardeesThe time has come! We are excited to announce the results of the fabulous 'Morgan Hill Together' Window-Art contest. This competition was created with a dual purpose; as a vehicle for self-expression for our youth as they reflected on our interconnectedness, even while apart during COVID-19, and to raise awareness of the newly formed Disaster Relief Fund umbrellaed under the Morgan Hill Community Foundation (MHCF). With donations being accepted to the fund, this allowed our our youth to participate in a philanthropic cause benefitting their community.
