MHCF Recognizes and Congratulates the Following Non-Profit Organizations Who Have Received Disaster Relief GrantsIn January 2021, the MHCF hit a major milestone in our COVID-19 pandemic Disaster Relief Program. We achieved our grant matching goal and completed four grant cycles totaling over $100,000 in 21 awarded grants supporting 14 Morgan Hill area non-profits. These grant recipients received disaster relief funds ranging from $2,000 up to $25,000 per grant. In turn, these local non-profits use the grant funding to provide essential resources and services to individuals and families of greatest need during this ongoing economic and health crisis. Over $100,000 in 21 Grants Awarded Supporting 14 Local Non-profitsWe are pleased to announce that the MHCF Disaster Relief Program has now completed four grant cycles totaling over $100,000 in 21 awarded grants supporting 14 Morgan Hill area non-profits. These grant recipients received disaster relief funds ranging from $2,000 up to $20,000 per grant. In turn, these local non-profits use the grant funding to provide essential resources and services to individuals and families of greatest need during this ongoing economic and health crisis.
SCU Lightning Complex Fire Declared Emergency under MHCF Disaster Relief FundEffective August 25 the Morgan Hill Community Foundation (MHCF) has identified the SCU Lightning Complex Fire as an Emergency under the MHCF’s Disaster Relief Fund. Concerned citizens can go to https://www.morganhillcf.org/donate-to-the-disaster-relief-fund.html to donate to the Disaster Relief Fund. All donations made to the MHCF Disaster Relief Fund will be used to directly support nonprofit organizations in the greater Morgan Hill area. Local nonprofits who are either mobilizing their efforts in support of the SCU Lighting Complex Fire or continuing their efforts in support of COVID-19 are encouraged to apply for a MHCF Disaster Relief Grant . MHCF Continues to Support and Fund Subsidized Childcare for Essential Workers
Morgan Hill Community Foundation in partnership with Morgan Hill Unified School District, The YMCA, and Santa Clara County is asking for your help in supporting local healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential workers. This Essential Services Workers Childcare Program provides childcare service for people working in essential businesses.
Urgent Appeal for Community Support in Response to Local DisastersRecognizing both immediate and long-term needs for disaster relief, the Morgan Hill Community Foundation (MHCF) has established a Community Disaster Relief Fund for the greater Morgan Hill area.
