MHCF's Meals for Heroes Revenue for Restaurants Program

Picture

Two of the most impacted Morgan Hill industries in the midst of COVID-19 are Medical and Hospitality.

Staff at the two local medical facilities, St. Louise Hospital and the DePaul Center, have been working long and extended days and weeks saving lives and helping to keep community members safe. They often do not have access to a cafeteria for health and safety reasons. Meanwhile, Santa Clara County health orders restrict restaurants to curbside service and limited outdoor dining in inclement weather, which has grave negative impact on revenues, in many cases threatening the survival of these small local businesses.

One of the Meals for Heroes program’s charitable purposes is to support our valued healthcare providers by serving ready-to-consume meals so they can concentrate on what they do best – serving the community and saving lives.

Second but not least, the program offers struggling restaurants an opportunity to continue to serve the community and help keep their workers employed. This charitable program supports both Healthcare and Hospitality in our local community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
