The Sue’s Story Project (LBD Awareness & Research Fund/MHCF)
Vision & Mission
We envision a world without dementia.
We work to increase awareness, caregiving resources, and research funding for Lewy Body Dementia, the second leading cause of progressive dementia worldwide.
- Awareness leads to understanding, removes the stigma, and encourages compassion for people living with Lewy Body Dementia.
- Funding is needed for focused research into the cause and treatment of Lewy body disease. Because of its relationship with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, collaboration among researchers is vital.
- Lewy Body Dementia needs to be part of dementia-related education and training for all medical and healthcare students and workers.
- Dementia-friendly policies and services and accessible caregiver resources are urgently needed for families living with Lewy Body Dementia.
The Sue’s Story Project partners with healthcare, research, education and social services organizations to advocate for a dementia-free world. We produce live and virtual Dementia Awareness & Response events that connect communities with people and resources to bring about positive change. Meanwhile, every person living with Lewy Body Dementia deserves to live with dignity, comfort and hope until a cure is found. Together, we can beat Lewy Body Dementia, one beautiful mind at a time.™

Dementia is a public health crisis, and there is an urgency to our mission. We could not have ramped up and accomplished all that we have so quickly without the expertise and encouragement of the Morgan Hill Community Foundation.”
