 About Morgans Cove

Morgan’s Cove is a private pirate paradise transformed into an interactive outdoor learning destination in Morgan Hill, CA. Created by Rich and Julie Firato, it now serves as a vibrant hub for educational field trips, community events, and historical exploration. Through hands-on activities, immersive storytelling, and thematic exhibits, visitors of all ages are invited to step back in time and engage with the history and natural treasures of our region.

Our Mission & Programs

The Morgan’s Cove Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2024 with a mission to inspire community pride, celebrate local heritage, and promote education through adventure. Our core goals include:

  • Fostering Educational Environments: Offering outdoor learning spaces that spark curiosity and growth.
  • Showcasing Natural Treasures: Featuring Morgan Hill’s Poppy Jasper to highlight its geological and cultural value.
  • Promoting Community Engagement: Hosting interactive tours and events that bring history to life.
  • Enhancing Historical Awareness: Empowering youth and families with a deeper understanding of their community’s past.
Our programs are designed for 4th and 5th-grade students and include history-based tours, gemstone education, early settler exhibits, and interactive storytelling experiences with local historians and costumed guides.
