About the Morgan Hill Inclusive Playground
The Morgan Hill Inclusive Playground Committee is a dedicated group of volunteers striving to raise funds to build the first inclusive playground that is universally accessible that will serve all children of ALL abilities in Morgan Hill.
Our committee and our vision are supported by the City of Morgan Hill and the Morgan Hill Unified School District. It is our goal to engage and mobilize the Morgan Hill community to share input into the playground’s design and in helping raise funds for the construction and future maintenance of the playground.
What is an Inclusive Playground?
An inclusive playground is made for every child to enjoy!
Although playgrounds are meant to be accessible for all children under the Americans with Disabilities Act, children with special needs resulting from physical and emotional disabilities most often are not offered the most meaningful play opportunities.
An inclusive playground that is universally accessible allows children of all abilities and their families to fully enjoy the features the playground has to offer. This includes the ability to climb, swing and spin, and play side by side with their siblings, friends and family.
Inclusive Playground Project Details
