The
Morgan Hill Community Foundation
addresses community needs by furthering a culture of giving in the
greater Morgan Hill area. We do this by identifying and acquiring
resources to provide support to nonprofit groups and programs that
benefit the local population.

Donors Benefits
Donors are guaranteed these benefits through their involvement with
the Foundation:

an affiliate member of Community Foundation Silicon Valley, a
49-year-old institution with assets of $500 million, professional
investors safeguard your investments for the maximum impact of
your funds
- Foundation’s
tax-exempt status

Our knowledgeable board of directors, along with our financial
advisors, will provide as much professional council as desired
with your investment strategy and help align your interests with
the appropriate organization (s) and program(s)

of flexibility for making a gift back

Donor Options
The Foundation has established
four donor options to meet your philanthropic goals. These programs
offer you the flexibility to address a specific area of need or
to rely on the Foundation’s stewardship to effectively meet
the challenges of our service area. Each gift is significant, will
indeed make a difference in the lives of our grantees, and will
help build a lasting legacy into the future.
Types
of Funds
Unrestricted Funds:
Contributions to this fund are added to the pooled income funds.
The funds are dispersed by the Board of Directors and offer the
most flexible response to meeting community needs.
Field-of-Interest
Funds: This fund
allows donors to support one of the Foundation’s nine program
areas. Program areas are determined by the Foundation, and donor
funds are dispersed to activities within the area(s) chosen by
the donor.
Designated
Funds: This fund
allows donors to support a specific charity or organization. Donors
can target certain amounts and direct their giving in a very personalized
way. (Minimum $2,500)
Scholarship
& Award Funds:
This fund gives donors the opportunity to recognize outstanding
students and to support their academic careers. (Minimum $2,500)
Alliance
Funds: Contributions
to this fund supports nonprofit organizations and programs that
fall under the umbrella of the Foundation and help fullfill their
mission. These funds currently include:

Morgan Hill Dog Owners Group's
- Teacher's
Aid Coalition
- The
South Valley Athletic Association
- The
Morgan Hill Wind Symphony
- The
San Pedro Trail Volunteers
- Morgan
Hill Library Foundation
- Morgan Hill's Sister City Committee
- Kirk's
Kids
Types
of Donations
Accepted donations include cash, marketable securities, life insurance,
real estate, foundation/corporate grants and goods and services.
